Fairy Tale Princess
 After the ball, your little girl should come home to a room fit for a princess! A canopy bed with a pretty piece of tulle fabric draped around it is a great way to start. Tulle is available in many colors to coordinate with your room. It is available with sparkles, but you can even use some sparkly fabric paint to add glitter to the fabric. If using this method, be sure and have something disposable under the fabric to catch paint that will pass through the fabric.
If you have a bed against a wall, you can attach a piece of tulle or any sheer curtain to the wall 4-6 ft. above the bed and allow it to drape out in both directions. Attach it to the wall again on both sides about the height of your bed and just outside the length of your bed on each end to form a triangle shape. Allow extra fabric to hang down and trim if necessary at the floor.
Tulle can also be used to create a “pumpkin carriage” as a wall decoration. To make a frame, use a medium gauge wire. This can be any size you desire for your room. If you use a half sphere shape, you can attach tulle to the wire to finish the look.
A pretty bedside lamp can be individualized by painting the shade. Any princess-like picture can be used. Maybe a glass slipper or a tiara would do the job.
Decorative light fixtures are easy to find and relatively inexpensive. This will add a lot to the atmosphere of the room. Use your imagination and have fun decorating!
